Outdoor Facilities

Our school grounds contain a wildlife area, pond, herb garden, football pitch, climbing frame with safety matting and tarmac play area. Our millennium garden has a water feature and seated area. Our grounds contain markings for all sorts of games as well as markings for cycling proficiency and road safety.

In our playground we have a climbing
frame and lots of playground games.

On sports day our parents
come to see us take part.

In recent years we have twice won and twice been runners up for the best kept school grounds award. We have been awarded the first permanent Eco-schools flag in the Coleraine District Council area for caring for the environment.  The climbing frame in the playground was a gift to us from The Honourable The Irish Society and local businesses in Kilrea to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the school in 1997.

Cycling proficiency

All P7 pupils have the opportunity to complete cycling proficiency training.
